A corrosion-resistant galvanized chain is a type of chain that improves its corrosion resistance by galvanizing the surface of the chain. Galvanized chains not only have the strength and durability of ordinary chains, but also have stronger corrosion resistance, and can be used for a long time in harsh environments without being easy to rust or damage.

Key Features

Corrosion Resistance & Appearance
The nickel-plated surface provides excellent resistance to moisture, rain, and mild chemical corrosion, with a bright metallic luster. It is suitable for indoor and outdoor applications with mild corrosive conditions, but not recommended for concentrated acid/alkali or strong chemical medium environments.
Strength & Compatibility
Manufactured in accordance with ANSI B29.1, the chains are fully interchangeable with standard sprockets. The maximum allowable load is about 15% lower than that of standard chains of the same size, so safety factor verification is mandatory during selection.
Temperature Range & Connection
Operating temperature ranges from -10°C to +60°C. For small-sized models (25NP–60NP), spring clip connecting links are commonly adopted; for large-sized models (80NP and above), cotter pin connecting links are preferred.
Environmental Compliance & Maintenance
Free of hexavalent chromium, the chains meet environmental protection standards. Regular cleaning and lubrication are recommended to extend service life, and long-term immersion or exposure to strong corrosive environments should be avoided.

Application Scenarios

Food processing, packaging machinery, and pharmaceutical equipment (dry/low-corrosion areas)
Outdoor conveying systems, agricultural machinery, and automated production lines
Power transmission and material handling in mildly corrosive environments; not suitable for seawater or strong chemical working conditions

Selection & Installation Guidelines

Load Verification
Calculate static and dynamic loads, and ensure a minimum safety factor of 3 (taking the 15% strength reduction into account).
Environment Matching
Prioritize NP series chains for humid/outdoor applications; for highly corrosive environments, upgrade to stainless steel chains or special coating chains.
Sprocket Matching
Use ANSI standard sprockets with a minimum of 17 teeth to reduce wear and vibration.
Installation & Maintenance
Ensure proper chain tension during installation; avoid twisting or over-stretching, and conduct regular lubrication.
